I have a website at Wordpress.com and I want to move it to Microsoft Office Live Small Business without copying and pasting it. Is there any way I can use the exported XML file that I get from my website when I export it?
The php file that you get when you go to your wordpress website is all the seperate .php files that are GENERATED by what available posts there are at that time.
You will have to download through FTP the root for your wordpress and upload through FTP or Copy/Paste it to your new server.
Do you need to move the database as well?
If you’re not, you will have to reinstall wordpress or update the config.php file to connect to your database.
If you need to move the database you are going to have to export the database to your new server as well and if there is any database name changes, you will have to update your config.php
