does anyone know how to enable scripting on a PC?

My PC crashed and I am not able to log into Windows. A friend of mine told me to adjust the settings to a time when the PC was functioning while on Safe Mode. I tried this but it says that Windows has got to be activated. I have tried to activate Windows to no avail.This is a complete nightmare. All of my small business forms are on my computer and client information.

Safe Mode *IS* Windows without the problem drivers that cause Normal mode to crash. Just copy your forms and client info while in Safe Mode (either to CD or to the Internet), then reformat your PC after. The only way to restore to a previous date is using an Emergency Recover Disk. The “Use Last Known Good Configuration” is not a reliable recovery tool.

PS – Scripting has nothing to do with this problem.
