I’ve moved to Zurich from the USA for my husband’s job relocation. How will income made for my LLC be taxed?
My husband’s job transferred him (and our family) to Zurich Switzerland for a 1 year international assignment. I have an LLC operating in Kansas, and I am the only employee. Kansas law says you can keep your business in KS as long as you have a physical mailing address and work “from” anywhere. I could work from anywhere in the world where I can be connected to the internet and a phone, so it doesn’t matter where I work “from” but will I be taxed by Switzerland because I now live here, if I work from here?
Don’t know. This is actually quite a complicated question. Countries mostly tax residents but there are sometimes loopholes for foreigners whose income comes from outside the country. As you are being moved by your husband’s company, you should ask their accountants as they will be dealing with his income taxes anyway.
