Software testing can not guarantee against problems software or even the failure, but you can reduce the risk of developing defects once the software is in use. Understanding why software testing is necessary, it is important to examine the causes and consequences of a failure of computer systems, and the crucial role it plays in ensuring quality of evidence.

ISEB Software Testing Foundation training course focused on five needs Learning:

• The potential impact of the failure of IT systems;
• Causes / effects software fault;
• Why testing is necessary;
• Testing the Quality Guarantee cons;
• the basic terminology of the industry.

What is the criteria?
Software Testing is a method of identifying defects in the product before being released, including defects in software code and its implementation and any potential difference between the code that is supposed to do and what they actually do.

ISEB Software Testing Foundation exam, students must:

• Know the basic objectives of the test;
• Understand how these objectives to verify the application in the context of creation, use and software (including the difference between testing and "debugging" and uses of static and dynamic tests).

General principles of testing
ISEB software testing courses introduce students the seven principles of software testing:
• The tests can show that there are problems, but no problem.
• Test covers a range limited situations in the sample, and is not exhaustive.
• The sooner a problem is detected, less related charges.
• The defects tend to cluster around specific areas (eg, the complexity of the system, or the inexperience of staff). These areas may be particularly white testers.
• A set of tests repeatedly, has a dampening effect.
• The type, design and test approach vary depending on the software testing.
• A test that evidence does not reveal errors that the software is free errors.

fundamental test process
Software testing is not simply a case file review or execute software to check for errors. To ensure that appropriate tests are used effectively and the return value to the resources invested, it is crucial that software testers to achieve five basic activities that the examination of links ISEB Software orientation to form a software test process:

1. planning and control trials
a. test planning defines what will be tested, how it will be tested, and allows us to know that the test is completed.
b. Control Test is an iterative activity that compares progress against the plan, and adjust the plan if necessary.

2. Test analysis and design
a. Test analysis estimates that the specific conditions of the test, and how these test conditions must be combined in the test case.
b. test design describes the expected results of the test, so that reviewers can easily recognize when a mistake has been committed.

3. Test the application and implementation
The implementation of evidence represents the activity the most visible, and includes the creation tests, generate test data, the test recording and interpretation activities test.

4. The evaluation criteria and output reports
The test criteria of "exit" (created during the planning test "And control") indicate that the test is completed.

5. Test closure activities
• Ensure that all documentation properly completed
• Close and archive the test environment, the infrastructure and testware
• Replace the maintenance of equipment testware
• Among the lessons learned

The psychology of proof
Selecting the right person (s) to conduct tests and submit test results to developers, requires a basic understanding of psychology testers and developers.

ISEB examination guidance Software provides a hierarchy of "independence" – that is, a list of people who could test the software, classified according to their level of perception separation of the development process:

• The authors of the code
• Members of the development team that the authors of code
• Another group within the same organization
• A different organizational

There are several advantages and disadvantages for people at different levels in the hierarchy of performance testing software. For example, the developer might be able to quickly solve a problem, but may be less likely to identify problems in the first place.

Furthermore Independence posting testers development process software, it is important to examine how testers can provide test results to developers. ISEB Software Testing Foundation examination students must explain the strategies for providing comments on the shortcomings of courtesy, for example:

• Focus on quality of delivery, instead of pointing errors;
• Test reports are not directed towards people, but for the products;
• Talk problems openly, and the mutual intent;
• At the end of an argument, confirming that both parties understand what has been the agreement.

Summary
Understanding the basic principles of software testing is essential to pass the ISEB Software Testing Foundation. During a ISEB Software Testing Foundation certified course, about two and a half hours should be devoted to the study of what the test is, why it is necessary and fundamental principles and processes behind the performance of the test successfully.
