Apple iPod touch – Prohibition of use of companies, access needs to work well, W-Malo / Windows 7
I have a new desktop in Windows 7 and expect to replace an aging Windows PDA with something newer and more reliable. I need a calendar, task list and contact list, and the need to synchronize my PC. I think music and video would be a nice bonus.
In fact, the iPod really does not play well with Windows 7, and found that I needed a WiFi connectivity (not broadband WiFi …) to enjoy fully all the features. I thought it could transfer information through the USB connection, which is not true. I wish I knew that the only way information was transferred via WiFi, I never thought of buying this unit.
My problems began with the installation. Do agree that Apple's iPod touch less than half the time after being connected; reinstalling iTunes necessary, removing the driver and numerous resettlement, and the closing process to make it work. All of a headache. Google "Mark Error 0xE8000065 "And see a number of users of Windows 7 to problems similar to mine, all resolved. Please I a Windows machine that is less than 7 two weeks, so it is not full of garbage and software conflicts. I was hoping that iTunes recognizes iPod whenever I'm connected, which was not the case. Over time, I have a "Unable to connect" error.
The Apple iPod touch and timing synchronization of contacts, but requires a third party application to synchronization tasks. Not too big a deal, I must pay few dollars for it.
The biggest problem, and the desire was clearly advertising WiFi is that it requires the use complete. In particular, the WiFi is the only way to obtain information that is not discussed in iTunes on your iPod. So if you have an application requires information on the Internet (such as Metro, the subway routing app), you must have a WiFi connection. You can not make applications without WiFi connection. You can not synchronize database queries Web0 without WiFi … ** ** Do not sync with the network while in the nursery.
To be more clear:
** No You can use the USB port to transfer data to iPod .**
This is significantly different Windows-based PDAs that communicate with all "the network connected to the USB port, and also features Wi-Fi to surf the Internet. Requests by day could keep the house through the conncetion USB, and transportation, if you have WiFi, it was a nice to have. If you do not have WiFi (not just Broadband WiFi …) where you can use, or frequent access to WiFi, so not worth buying this.
In addition, the connector USB is fragile, I saw it breaks after 6 months of use.
Never used the headphones, I can not comment.
What is good:
While software like device, constantly reset.
"The music and video played well
"A lot of memory
Applications application control, decent, but most have not been paid without … so hot.
"Very thin, very well designed.
What is bad:
Play-N t is well with Windows 7, the synchronization errors and multiple "can not connect" errors.
WiFi-Needs updating applications, the integrated use of the card, stocks and weather patterns, and synchronization with software Web-based (such as tasks Toodle do, for example).
In short, I was hoping this would be my new PDA, but is not appropriate for professional use, unless you have WiFi access, and if you use a Windows machine 7.
