Journalism or business management major?
Right now I am a professional writing major at college, but just changed my major to Business Management with a minor in professional writing. I’m interested in a career in journalism… but am quite scared of pursuing that route because the job market I’ve heard is tough in that field. I wouldn’t mind doing something in the business field and I know I have better job security and can make more money in a business job. I’m just not really sure what I should do I guess… any advice?
I think your instincts are good — follow them.
Study both fields. You can either go into Journalism, business writing or some other area of business when you graduate. It is good to have lots of options. You don’t have to decide now (you have my permission for that).
