Analysis of the Business Analyst
The first stage of the decisions of most businesses, such as marketing, recruitment, and investment is the collection of data. In most cases, the information is captured in words. Once data collection is completed, The next step is to analyze the words entered. In many cases, this analysis is performed by professional analysts, researchers such as Marketing, HR managers and portfolio managers. In light of some recent scientific research, if you believe that your analysis and recommendations?
A recent scientific study (Rothwell, PM and Martyn, CN Reproducibility of peer review in clinical neuroscience: an agreement between examiners was higher than expected by chance? On the other hand, when a larger number of independent reviewers evaluated the same manuscript, the results were the same, there is no agreement. As the author the study, write: "If peer review is an attempt to measure the overall quality of research in terms of originality, relevance of methods used, analysis data and justification of the conclusions, then a total lack of reproducibility is a problem. These should be relatively specific objective and reproducible it. "Evaluations should be playable, but they are not. Points to consider:
1. In this study, analysts were teachers who were selected for their expertise in the subject of the manuscript. 2. The criteria for this study were whether the research presented in the manuscript is original, using appropriate methods, analyze the data properly and adequately justify the conclusions. As the study authors say that these criteria are regarded as relatively objective. Contrary to this study, the vast majority of qualitative studies involving subjective criteria such as taste, customs, values and preferences. If teachers do not always apply objective criteria in evaluating manuscripts, how can the less skilled professionals and a lay can be trusted to consistently apply subjective criteria in the evaluation of qualitative data?
3. In this study, couples teachers will be assigned to different values of the same manuscript. Who is right? After all this is science and the two can not be law. Now some leading experts, if we are not convinced that can process a set of qualitative data correctly, or at least compatible, how can we trust professionals or lay, when they say they can?
Abstract:
The first phase to take a majority decision in the company is the collection of data. In most cases, information is collected in the form of words. Once the words are available, practitioners meet to analyze data from these words and present the results in decision-making. As the study of Rothwell and Martyn suggests, these professionals, the most often will fail in its analysis the results of qualitative data, and produce that prevent the taking of decisions to make the right decision.

Is it necessary to attend business school?
i attend a prestigious college and i plan to graduate with a degree of organizational development rights. The program is one of the university. I plan to do an internship in San Francisco we hope in the financial district. I want to be a financial analyst and eventually move to the investment banking division. I'm not sure than jumping right into the workforce or obtain an MBA in finance. I had the opportunity to attend presentations Goldman Sachs, UBS and Wachovia. I know that some of these companies offer vocational training.
