CFA certification – yes or no?
Hi, I hold a BA in English Language and Literature and specialist studies in Journalism, have 4 years experience in a global professional services company, last year or so on the business analyst position. Now, I really want to improve my knowledge of finance and to advance in my career and I wanted to enroll the CFA programme but I would like to hear different people’s opinion on this. I am especially concerned if it’s going to be really difficult for me to pass the exams (taking my educational background into consideration). I was already advised by the CFA Institute that I am eligible to enroll, but I am more concerned about the reality, how hard is is going to be for me to grasp the matter and pass the exams?
Level 1 is not difficult, the knowledge are quite fundamental. And if you get some preparation materials like Scheweser Notes, it will get even less difficult.
But for level 2&3, they’re much more difficult, you need some mathematics skills to pass the exams.
